One ministry of long standing is known as the Friendship Committee.  This committee lovingly brings food to families in times of sickness or crisis or on the occasion of a death. 

In addition to pastoral visits by the rector, Lay Eucharistic Visitors bring consecrated bread and wine from the Sunday Eucharist to retirement home patients and others who request this ministry. The Bishop specially licenses these volunteers.
